Columbus Day Parade - October 10, 2011, New York
October 14, 2011On October 10, 2011 the Siwa & Figli Super Quattro Artist accordion was featured at the 67th annual Columbus Day Parade in New York City. The festivities are organized by the Columbus Citizens Foundation and celebrate the Italian-American cultural heritage. The accordion was brought to the United States by Italian imigrants. The best accordions are made in Italy and Castelfidardo is the accordion capital of the world. It is natural to feature an accordion at this year's parade.
At the finale of the parade Cory Pesaturo joined the hosts Maria Bartiromo and Joe Piscopo, the Grand Marshal Joe Plumeri, and 2011 American Idol Singer Pia Toscano on the red carpet performing Frank Sinatra's classic hit New York, New York.
