Dallape SUPERMAESTRO Serial Number 20, a 1950s Classic Masterpiece

Dear Accordion Friends,

This is a rare accordion in very good condition. It was made in Italy in the 1950s by one of the most famous and respected manufacturer. Dallape only made professional quality instruments. The serial number 20 (!) is proudly engraved or stamped on the back of the accordion, each reed block, the tone chamber, bellows frame, and many metal parts. At some point in its life the instrument has been professionally overhauled. The reed wax and leathers are new and will hold without problems for the next 30+ years. The keyboard was recently realigned and the action optimized. The shoulder and bass straps are new. The accordion plays without effort. The Supermaestro doesn't need a long description. What makes this particular instrument different is the mild tremolo tuning (about 10 cents) on the out-of-chamber clarinet reeds. The harmonium LMH switch is still dry tuned and sounds as powerful as on many 4-reed accordions. You would be able to enjoy the typical Dallape dry tuned reed combinations like bandonion (LM1), Harmonium (LM1H), Organ (LH), Oboe (M1H) as well as a lovely tremolo on the Violin (MM), Musette (MMH), and Accordion (LMM) registers.

The accordion looks fantastic for its age. As a matter of fact, the 5 small marks from wood screws used to attach a pick-up to the lower treble side of the instrument (see the pictures below) are the only obvious cosmetic issues. This is truly a collectible grade accordion in excellent playing condition. It will make the new owner proud and happy.

Five tiny marks can be seen from previous microphone installation. The spot could be covered with a piece of celluloid
or black tape. There is no effect on the performance of the instrument and the spot can't be seen in normal playing
condition neither by the performer nor by the audience.

New shoulder and bass straps, back0straps for additional support.

Ivory finished key tops, treble switches, and bass board.

All treble valves in excellent condition.

At some point in its life the accordion had been professionally overhauled with all new reed wax and leathers.
