Professional GUERRINI Accordion with Master MIDI and Condenser Microphones
Excellent Acoustic Accordions with Stereo Amplification and MIDI !

This is a very interesting Guerrini accordion. I would guess it was made in the 1950s or 1960s. The reason I date it so far back is the "Guerrini Co" name plate on the front and some design details typical for that time. This instrument was built to last. It has been played a lot and this is the best way to maintain an accordion in top shape. It is very easy to handle and plays without effort. On the treble side of the accordion, between the model "ROYAL" and the brand "Guerrini Co" the celluloid has rough spots from the removal of a name plate and/or letters. This is visible only from a close distance at a particular angle. Some of the rhinestones added after-market are missing. Apart from these cosmetic issues the accordion has a lot to offer. The chrome plating on the treble and bass switches is still shiny and makes it difficult to avoid reflections from the flash when taking pictures. The accordion is clean and solid with very good keyboard and bass machine action and smooth operation of all registers. The compression is excellent. At some point the piccolo reeds have been replaced with a third set of clarinet reeds. The current reed configuration is LMMM with musette/polka tuning.

There has been a lot of upgrades within the last 5-10 years:

- New reed leathers and tuning
- New shoulder and bass straps
- Installed state-of-the-art stereo condeenser microphones
- Installed Master MIDI for treble and
bass - Hall effect electromagnetic sensors on the treble side and silver coil springs on the bass side (more reliable for the bass section dues to the complex bass mechanics.

The Tone Modulator has been removed to use the room under the grill for the MIDI installation. The long chrome plated bar above the treble switches was used originally to open and close the modulator and now will not affect the sound of the accordion. This instrument has been used on many gigs. It is reliable and would last for decades if properly used and maintained.
You will not need a separate MIDI module to sound like a full orchestra since the system includes an external Master MIDI controller (very elegant design) with a built-in sound card. It is possible to combine the Master sounds with additional MIDI arranger using the MIDI THROUGH port on the controller. All cables are included. The entire setup is in very good condition and ready to use.
This is a very versatile instrument. You can play it as a fine acoustic accordion, as an amplified accordion, as electronic MIDI instrument, or in any combination of these features. I have tested all acoustic and electronic features and they work perfect. The balance is very good and I can easily handle this accordion for several hours non-stop standing performance. The sound is very rich and clean. You can get a strong resonant bassoon and clear clarinet along with lovely violin and a punchy musette.
