Guy Klucevsek is a fabulous accordionist, composer, and a very nice person to know! Guy has been a customer and friend for many years. I have been honored to service his fine accordions. Ron Oswanski is a recognized talented musician, performing wide range of repertoire spanning from jazz (Hammond B3 organ and piano) to polka and fusion (accordion). He has been an Accordion Gallery friend and customer for years. Recently I had the pleasure to work with Ron and Siwa & Figli on the design of a custom-made  accordion suitable for all different polka styles from Slovenian to Cleveland. The challenge was to select the right reed configuration and tuning while keeping the instrument compact and ergonomic. 

In Ron's words "The Siwa Schumann custom made for me with the help of Guenadiy and the Accordion Gallery captures everything I was looking for in a musette instrument.  The accordion is custom designed from the ground up with a reed configuration of MMMM.  The appearance, tuning, size, and midi capabilities are as good, if not better than anyone can expect out of a high end accordion in a compact design.  The custom musette tuning was exactly as I asked, and Guenadiy was more than happy to help map out for me.  The Schumann, on top of it being a power house instrument, has the bonus of wireless midi built in.  The setup allows me to not only run built in sounds from the internal sound card, but gives me the ability to WIRELESSLY run Mainstage at virtually no latency.  With a series of volume pedals, I'm able to mix my acoustic accordion with not only multiple bass setups, but combine those options with various synths all in real time and again,...   all wirelessly!

The collaboration between the Accordion Gallery and Siwa & Figli has been very successful. The Siwa Community is growing and we are happy to receive feedback and ideas from our customers.  We are listening to your ideas and use our own experience and expertise to help every Siwa accordion player achieve the best musical expression by a custom made acoustically and mechanically perfect instrument.  Since 2007 our joint creative projects lead to the development of many new models. To make it easier for our customers to compare features and select the right accordion for their needs we are offering Features Comparison Charts accessible via new menu idem under SIWA Accordions > Features Charts.

Musikmesse is the largest international trade show for musical instruments and sheet music. Imagine 4 days packed full with special presentations and concerts. Accordion manufacturers, bellows and reed makers, electronics developers (MIDI, microphones) - you can clearly sense the pulse of the industry, try the latest products, talk to the artisans and many of the world renowned artists.

I always look forward to this time of the year when I can join Siwa & Figli and many of our friends for a memorable couple of days. This year's Featured Artists Jordan Djevic and Marcel Cestari and Rok Švab treated us and all our guests with fabulous performances. 

Ivana Stanojlovic's birthday celebration evolved to an engaging party. Congratulations to Graziano and Ivana and their parents!

The latest Siwa & Figli accordion model can be seen and played at the Accordion Gallery. The Schumann model is designed for strolling musicians who like a more compact and light weight instrument that still features full size keys and hand-made reeds. The weight reduction is achieved by reducing the keyboard range from 41 keys to 37 keys F-F. As a result, the accordion body can be more compact as well.  Here is a link to detailed specifications

The Schuman models are finished in rosewood, olive, walnut root, maple etc. They look gorgeous and the tonal quality and ease of handling are equally appealing. We would like to welcome Dallas Vietty to the Siwa & Figli Featured Artists Club. It is a pleasure and honor to have another very talented young artist endorse our brand. Dallas specializes in Parisian swing-waltz style of Musette and Gypsy Jazz. He performs with a Super Cobra Elegant accordion.

In addition to being a successful soloist and band leader, Dallas has the talent to teach and inspire. As an educator he has taught at the famous Django music camp "Django in June", led workshops at the American Accordionist Association Festival 2012, and has a prolific private studio and growing online teaching presence. He is one of a few who have a curriculum and knowledge of Musette and Gypsy Jazz for the piano accordion.

The Academy 55 is a concert converter bass instrument. It offers the performer both Stradella (bass/chords) and chromatic free bass with low-E and amazing response time even in the lowest octaves. Each accordion is custom built. Call to discuss special features and delivery time.

The Champion is a unique accordion on the market today, designed to offer the best from the old legendary models Sonola SS6 and Dallape Organtone II, combined with the latest development in mechanics and ergonomics. The Champion is a light weight 3-reed version of the Super Quattro Artist and features the same mahogany tone chamber and hand made reeds. Each accordion comes with interchangeable reed blocks for LMH and LMM configuration. Available in stock with 18" and soon with 19.5" keyboard.

The 27-th Annual Accordion Festival organized by the American Accordion Musicological Society took place in Whippany, NJ on March 27-29. This festival has been a special event for me personally since 1996. I am very grateful to Stan and Joanna Darrow for their commitment to the accordion music, the musical education of many generation young musicians, and for organizing this festival.  Each year it is a thrill to get together with many friends and enjoy world class performances. Oktoberfest with Alex Meixner Band in Bear Mountain, NY

Alex and the band had the fans involved, dancing, drinking, and enjoying the great performance. Even the rain in the early afternoon didn't scare the people who were willing to have fun. Alex's energy was so powerful even the clouds eventually gave up and cleared the sky.

It was so nice to hear from many people that they were actually following the band from gig to gig in NY, NJ, and PA. Alex featured some of the songs from his latest CD "Happiness is a Choice" as well as new arrangements.



It was such a pleasure to see an accordionist and so many young people at the same event. Check Alex's performing schedule and make sure you attend a show. You will feel positively charged for at least a week.

It was a great pleasure to join Siwa & Figli and many of our friends for a memorable couple of days at Musikmesse 2014. Our guests enjoyed some spectacular performances by Featured Artists Edo and Dina Krilic and Lelo Nika's Trio. Goran Vorgic and Dorjan Krljar inspired the dancers among us. Many people got the opportunity to experience in person the instant response and tonal power of the Siwa & Figli accordions.

The Siwa & Figli brand has received world wide recognition since the company's debut on the  world stage at this same event in 2010. Now many musicians perform with these fine instruments on all continents.

During the last week of August "The Oaks" became the center of the Accordion World. It's been few weeks and I still feel the energy of Cape Accordion 2013. It was great to see old friend and to make some new ones.

75th Anniversary Celebration of the AAA - Aug. 14-18, NYC

Hello Friends,

The American Accordionists' Association 75th Anniversary Festival will be in New York City on August 14-18. You can obtain detailed information about the many concerts and workshops on the AAA web site. We hope to see many of you join the celebration. In addition to listening to a variety of accordion music the Festival guests will have the opportunity to try some of the best new Italian accordions. The Festival will take place in Hotel New Yorker, 481 Eighth Avenue at 34th Street, NY, NY 10001. A vendor list will be available soon on the AAA web site.

We would like to invite you to the Accordion Gallery booth in the Exhibit Room - Sutton Place Suite, 2nd Floor. We will present the most popular classic Siwa & Figli models Super Quattro Artist, Super Quinta, and Super Cobra. All these instruments feature hand-made reeds and tone chamber.

We will showcase for the first time the special Accordion Gallery Series of aged acoustic wood models Super Quattro Yavor, Super Quattro Noce, and Super Cobra Noce. Each accordion is absolutely unique. The accordion body (including the grill and the side bass cover) is carved from rare selection of  naturally aged woods. The body is varnished in the tradition of violin making and not covered in Polyurethane. The results are amazing - enhanced natural wood grain and improved sound projection. The tonal characteristics are based on the wood selection and could be jazzy-dark or polka-bright. Each instrument features the best quality hand made reeds available today, genuine Italian leather reed valves, double tone chamber, precise mechanics, and ergonomic body design optimized for best feel and ease of handling.

"The Oaks" welcomed accordion friends again this year for Cape Accordion 2012. The hosts James Gerke and Dave Magliozzi made sure every one had a memorable experience. While keeping the event informal and friendly the organizers managed to include useful workshops on topics spanning from swing musette techniques and improvisation, accompanying a vocalist, "Medical School for Accordionists", accordion maintenance, the tonal character explained etc.

I would like to express my gratitude to the hosts and all participants for their inspiring performances and to share some photographs with all our accordion friends. I am sure you will feel the spirit of Cape Accordion.

The Annual Accordion Festival organized by the American Accordion Musicological Society and the Mid Atlantic Music Teachers Guild will take place in Whippany, NJ on March 30 - April 1. You can find details about the event on the MAMTG web site. There will be an exciting variety of accordion music, concerts, and workshops.

The Accordion Gallery will be represented by Guenadiy Lazarov. We would like to invite you to his workshop "Tender Loving Care for the  Love of your Life" on Sunday, April 1 at 10 am.
The discussion will cover accordion maintenance, troubleshooting, some repair techniques, as well as answers to any accordion related questions.

On October 10, 2011 the Siwa & Figli Super Quattro Artist accordion was featured at the 67th annual Columbus Day Parade in New York City. The festivities are organized by the Columbus Citizens Foundation and celebrate the Italian-American cultural heritage. The accordion was brought to the United States by Italian immigrants. The best accordions are made in Italy and Castelfidardo is the accordion capital of the world. It is natural to feature an accordion at this year's parade.

At the finale of the parade Cory Pesaturo joined the hosts Maria Bartiromo and Joe Piscopo, the Grand Marshal Joe Plumeri, and 2011 American Idol Singer Pia Toscano on the red carpet performing Frank Sinatra's classic hit New York, New York.

It was great to meet some good friends at

Cape Accordion 2011.

Hurricane Irene was threatening to ruin our plans to get together. However, passionate and devoted accordionists overcame flooded roads, fallen trees, power outages, and disrupted flight schedule to join from Canada, Germany, and across the US.

In the words of the host and co-organizer James Gerke, the event was planned as "a small get-together of advanced accordionists at Harwich, Cape Cod... five days of informal and meaningful interaction: fun, playing, jamming, sharing, learning". It was all of that and more.

I feel honored and happy to be part of Cape Accordion 2011 and tried to capture the spirit of the event in the following photographs:

The Accordion Gallery joined Siwa & Figli for a very strong and convincing debut on the world stage at Musikmesse 2010. Imagine 4 days packed full with special presentations and concerts. Talking about the accordion manufacturers, it will not be overstated to say Castelfidardo goes to Frankfurt during the trade show.

We had hundreds of people visit our booth. Our guests enjoyed many featured performances as well as the opportunity for a personal experience playing some of our latest acoustic and electronic instruments.

Super Quattro Compact with "Hey-di" MIDI Siwa & Figli has released a new Hey-di MIDI system, developed in collaboration with Logic Systems. The new controller has extremely slim design and combines elegant appearance with powerful features.


Hey-di MIDI Controller

The internal sound card offers hundreds of accordion and orchestral  sounds and effects allowing the flexibility to perform without external MIDI module. Right from the grill you can adjust volume, bellows dynamics, change octave for particular section or transpose the entire instrument, select different instrument sounds in real time etc. The 2 independent treble sections allow for simultaneous selection of accordion and orchestral sounds. The internal memory consists of a ROM part with pre-programmed orchestral sounds (5 for bass section, 5 for chords section, and 2x11 for the 2 treble sections) and Flash component where you can store your favorite presets (6 for bass, 6 for chords, and 2x12 for the 2 treble sections). In addition, there are 12 user banks (registrations) to store your favorite system parameters. Either use the factory programs or create your own and recall them in real time.

One can access the internal sound card while controlling an optional external MIDI arranger. The system can be used with headphones for private practice.

Siwa & Figli and the Accordion Gallery are introducing a special Accordion Gallery Line of instruments. Each accordion will be absolutely unique and will be properly designated. The accordion body including the grill and the side bass cover is carved from rare selection of  naturally aged (40+ years) woods. The body is varnished in the tradition of violin making and not covered in Polyurethane. The results are amazing - enhanced natural wood grain and improved sound projection. We are proud to present here the first masterpiece.
